Frequently Asked Questions
WHY ARE VIDEOGRAPHERS SO EXPENSIVE?
At first glance, hiring a wedding videographer can seem like a substantial expense. However, the end product is a timeless capture of memories that couples never regret investing in.
When compared to other wedding expenses, like catering and venue costs, wedding videography may seem expensive, even an added luxury. However, couples should remember that their wedding video is an investment in their memories, cherished for years to come. Other wedding expenses may only last for a few hours, while the wedding video will last a lifetime.
Photo's at weddings are so important and I love working with photographers but when your looking through your photo album in years to come unfortunately you won't be able to hear your fathers trembling voice as he delivers his proud speech or see moving footage of that precious hug from a grandparent, each couple that I have provide films for have mentioned that either they had completely forgotten parts of their day or they didn't know that moment happened.
Booking a videographer is worth it, hands down.
WHAT IS A HIGHLIGHTS FILM?
It's a 6-10 minute highlight video of the main events of your day. It will have parts of your ceremony and sound from the speeches included but not in their entirety.
HOW LONG SHOULD WE EXPECT TO WAIT FOR OUR FILMS?
The highlight film & teaser trailer have an expected online delivery of 14-30 days after the wedding date but may take longer due to busy periods and/or out of office. The Ceremony & Speeches films have an expected delivery 60 - 120 days after the Wedding date depending on busy periods and/or out of office. All our films are different and take different amounts of time to produce, we would only deliver a wedding film if we are 100% happy with it.
CAN WE SHARE THE HIGHLIGHTS TRAILER ON FACEBOOK?
Of course! We use royalty free music which means you can post it online without any copyright issues. All that we ask is that you drop our name in the description and credit us.
HOW WILL WE RECEIVE OUR FILMS?
Your wedding film will be delivered via an online drive and will be available to download. Couples who choose our Peony or Casablanca package can expect to receive their wedding film on a walnut USB 3.0 with a wooden box personalised with laser engraving at no extra cost.
DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION?
At Table 7 Films we want to keep things honest, up front and simple, therefore our packages include UK coverage with the first 50 mile at no additional cost (Newcastle upon Tyne based). Round trip distances above 50 miles are charged at 45 pence per mile. Parking cost and tolls when necessary.
Accommodation would only be charged for services provided in areas of the UK where travel is more than 3 hours one way traveling by car, we would discuss this with you and include these charges in your invoice in advance.
CAN I PAY BY DEBIT/CREDIT CARD?
Of course! We accept all major debit and credit cards and can even accept Apple Pay and google pay. We also accept bank transfers too.
DO YOU FILM WEDDINGS ABROAD?
Yes ! Please get in touch if you'd like us to film your wedding abroad and we'll provide you with a customised quote.
CAN WE CHOOSE THE MUSIC ON OUR WEDDING HIGHLIGHT FILM?
Unfortunately not, due to copyright laws we can't overlay your highlight video with your favourite Ed Sheeran or John Legend song if it is to be used in any way online. We would choose royalty free background music for your film so that you have no issues with copyright law. When you buy a song on iTunes or even in physical form like a CD or vinyl, you are buying a licence to play the song in question for personal use only. Making wedding films is a commercial activity and as such isn't covered by the same personal licence. If you or the videographer uploads the video to YouTube or Facebook it will more than likely be flagged immediately. Some songs are covered by a YouTube licence but this only applies to you making a video for personal use and putting music to it. It doesn't cover someone selling you a service and them using someone else's work. It is illegal, it is immoral and highly unethical. An artist has a right to be paid for their work.
WHAT ABOUT CHOOSING MUSIC ON THE FEATURE LENGTH FILM?
Now for your feature length film, we can use any (yes ANY) song that you like and we will fully licence it for your feature wedding film that we supply on USB. How do we do that? I hear you ask! Well as your feature film will be anywhere between 45-90 minutes long, this is purely for personal use and you wouldn't be able to upload to any online sites. That means we can use PRS for Music which is a company who issue different licenses for different uses. Any song, from any artist but only for our USB film using LML (Limited Manufacturers Licence).
We will try to accommodate any requests but please be mindful that our style works best if we have control over the majority of your footage and its music to coincide with the beautiful scenes of your wedding, one or two song requests would be acceptable such as overlaying your first dance scenes with the song you actually danced to.
WHAT IS THE DRONE USED FOR?
Primarily the drone will be used to capture the building and grounds of your venue or church to give your film that cinematic touch and its a beautiful way to remember that stunning location where you both exchanged your vows. Again this is weather dependant so it is likely the footage will be captured before or after your big day but we will always endeavour to get those shots for your film. Unfortunately in some circumstances this will be impossible and we may not be permitted to fly.
ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED TO FLY A DRONE?
Yes, although its more of a permission as there is no such thing as a drone license. We hold an A2 C of C from the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority). This allows us to use a drone in built up areas. We are able to take off and land a drone 30 metres from persons or property not under our control and once in the air we must maintain 50m thereafter. Our Drone insurance can cover up to £10 million Public Liability Insurance if your venue requires it.
